Red Devil trial dates and info announced

March 6, 2013 - The Red Devils will be holding an open trial on Tuesday 2nd April at 9pm for any and all players who wish to be considered for selection for the 2013 team. NZIHL rules have changed for 2013 allowing any registered player to be brought into the squad at any point during the season.

Cost for the trial session is $15. Please register your interest here >>>

After the first ice session on Tuesday 2nd April, there will be the first set of cuts. Those who have made the cut and still wish to be considered for selection must pay $120 which covers the next 8 ice sessions commencing Thursday 4th April. The Tuesday/Thursday sessions will still be considered a trial period. Should a player be cut prior to the 8th session, a refund of any unused ice time will be given however there will be no per-session payments to cover this ice time. A lump sum payment must be made. Those who do not attend the trials will not be considered for the initial team selection nor considered for a call-up during the season (import players exempted).

Those players who do not make the initial squad but still hope to be considered for a call-up during the season, should be playing SNC hockey throughout the winter. Injuries, illness and suspension to a roster player will require us to bring a new player into the squad for trainings and also games. That player will need to have attended these trial sessions and is encouraged to be playing SNC hockey in order to be game ready.

Costs associated with playing for the Red Devils as a roster player or a call-up player will be discussed with the individual at the appropriate time.
